Default Did a REALLY stupid thing

Ok, call me a dumbass if you want. I don't know where my head was yesterday when I did it, but I did, and now I need to fix it.

The windshield washer reservoir ran empty. No big deal right? I've refilled them time and time again in my years of owning cars. I stop by Wal Mart and buy a gallon jug of washer fluid, and happily pop the hood. For whatever stupid reason , I opened up the coolant reservoir cap, and proceed to pour nearly the entire gallon of Rain-X washer fluid into the reservoir before I realize that I'm dumping the shit into the wrong tank. So, how does one go about getting this thing drained? I of course drove the truck home, and now it's parked to keep this stuff from mixing into the coolant in the engine and forcing a total cooling system flush.

And yes, I present myself for the inevitable ribbing over doing something that a blond chick would do. LOL

It is already mixed. Not sure exactly what is in the rainx, but the only concern would be if it affects the block and the radiator. Probably not. I'd pay to have it flushed, if you ask me, any shop could it. You could probably do it. Rainx will probably dilute the OAT and thus lowering the concentration of corrosion inhibitors, so the coolant will harm the components and will freeze at a higher temperature than normal.
I see you have a 2013, if you want to keep it and take care of it, flush it once and replace it. Don't wait
Rain-X is mostly methanol and water, the water will dilute the OAT and the methanol might corrode some parts, even though it evaporates. You put in a full gallon almost. There is usually a drain valve on the bottom of the radiator..

I don't think you have a choice. As has been said, get it flushed asap. Hey, sometimes shit happens.

If it makes you feel better I left my truck in drive when I got out the other day. when I went back outside it had hit the rear wall of my garage and cracked a light and the front bumper fascia.

I haven't had much time to read the forumz. As is par for the course for where I live, I have an appointment to get the truck properly flushed on the 17th. It'll remain parked until then.
