Default Center Console "Bin" removal

I have a few deep scratches on the left edge of the "Bin" in my center console (on the plastic, not the chrome). This will be covered under warranty but my dealer lets me R/R the parts to prevent "Tech" damage to other parts. I lifted the rubber mat and noticed a screw; I imagine there are clips involved also. Is it just a matter of removing the screw and pulling up, then disconnecting the 12V outlet? It's a Sport with the rotary shift knob.

See my previous post today for more detail. I had a similar issue with a couple small scuffs but didn't turn it in then thought I would buy one but it is $77. Pull the cup holder rubber cups out and the other rubber mat. There are 5 screws that hold the bin in.

I had to sand down (220 wet/dry) the very sharp edges and abrasive 'stitching' on the crummy plastic center console box. Amazing how poor the quality of the mould is and how sharp the edges are. After repeatedly cutting my hand when I was reaching over to snap the seat belt on, I decided to fix the problem so that it would never injure anyone again.

The edges of the many plastic pieces on the Ram are pure crap construction showing poor finishing. Guess that's what you get for $55,000. today.

Totally agree. I love the interior...most everything is very well done..except that edge of the console. WTF? All that work into the detail and fit and finish and then they leave a sharp edge on the console lip. I don't get it.

I don't seem to have any sharp edges, or at least I havent discovered them yet (which would not surprise me). I agree, the quality is great in some ares and lacking in others; especially the exterior paint (that is another topic). I was at the dealer yesterday, and removed the rubber mat on the console in the showroom demo. I noticed three screws that seemed to hold the bin in place. They are ordering me the part and said it just pulls out after removing the screws. Love the truck, but the quality issues are starting to concern me.
