I did the same upgrade on my 2011 1500, I had the dealer do the modification. The guy at the parts counter looked up the parts I needed right from his book and ordered the parts for me, by having them look the parts up and buying from them I was sure not to have any surprises at installation time.

I too have been wanting to upgrade to a posi unit with 3.92 gear set.
I spoke to a mechanic at my dealer and he said they have only done one and it cost over 2K just for the rear diff. That included the gear set. Not including the front on my 4x4. Love to hear from someone who has done this.

I had it done on my 2011 1500 4X4. I also used the factory parts. My reasoning was that I did not wish to get into any arguments about a warranty repair, which I'm sure would happen if I used aftermarket parts. I stuck with the 3.55 gears. The total cost was around $1400.00, if I remember correctly.
