Default Pro Comp or Rough Country

Hello, I'm a newbie here and had some questions/advise. I have a 12' 1500 crew bighorn and am wanting to put a lift on it. My question is which one the procomp 6 inch or rough country 6 inch. My truck will hardly ever see anything but pavement, it is my daily driver but I want the look and the ability to go play if I want. My main concern is ride quality and the least amount of stress on angles and joints and what not. Big price difference between the two didn't ,know if it was a quality difference or if it was just personal preference. I will be running 37x12.5x20 wheels and tires on it, just want a little advise. I know everyone probably gets tired of it, but if you have pics of a similar set up with these two lifts I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for your help

Lots of differences in those kits, ill take a stage 1 pro comp vs rcx. The rcx front strut spacer is 5.5 vs the 4.5 pro comp, pro comp uses coil spacers to get the extra 1". So if you want to go bigger later the rcx is good, however either kit is good. The stage 2 pro comp will give you the best ride since it upgrades front and rear shocks (front are adjustable coil overs). I personally have a stage 1 pro comp and love it.

Rcx kits have had issues with joints but not serious just some rubbing, either will have front drop brackets so cv angles should be close to stock.

I just talked to a guy at my local truck shop. I trust his knowledge actually, he's been really straight up with me and i don't believe he's bull shitting me. He said that rough country isn't very good (Although many people on here will disagree i know!) he said that he won't even put them on because id always be after him for warrantying parts. He recommends pro comp, and installed its only like a $200 difference for me. But thats just what he said,

Weird hey? I've heard good reviews but he said the only way he would touch it is if i signed off saying i won't want any warranty from him. You'd be an idiot to agree to that lol

Just a heads up, out of the two I would definitely recommend pro comp, however have you looked into tuff country? personally I have a tc lift kit on my vehicle since 2011 and haven't ran into any problems thus far.

I personally run pro comp myself, however i did not opt for the stage 2 kit, it is a wonderful kit however i wanted to obtain close to an 8" lift so i used a stage 1 kit and upgraded the front shock to a procomp zx-2014(very similar to bilstein except it only has 2 setting 0" and 2.75") and the i upgraded the rear shocks to prorunner zx-2001 and used a 1.5" rear coil spacer to have a little bit of rake.

I would prefer pro comp over rcx but rcx makes a great kit to it all depends on what you are after if you use the procomp kit the have a 4.5" strut spacers vs rcx 5.5" strut spacer, if you use adjustable with a procomp kit do not under any circumstances use the preload stut spacers.

I also have procomp stage 1 and stage 2 kits on sale right now 10% off already low prices with free shipping anywhere in the 48 lower states check it out.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask. I am always willing to help anyway i can you can also call me if you want my contact info and the info about the procomp stage 1 and stage 2 kits can be found here http://www.ramforumz.com/announcement.php?f=246
