Default I hate my new exhaust!

Hey, i have a 2013 pentastar ram. Wanted to get the hemi rumble so I swapped out the bumper for the dual and took my truck to the shop. I asked for a slight rumble.. nothing loud and obnoxious. The guy put on flowmaster 40 series with new dual pipes he made, plus tips. It looks nice but holy cow...

When i remote start my truck at 5am the walls in my house shake. Neighbors tell me my truck sounds like a lamborghini starting up. And when i use my bluetooth, the cabin is so loud the other person cant hear me.

After research ive decided to go with the hemi exhaust. Exactly what i was looking for.

Question:

Should i swap the muffler for the single in dual out hemi muffler( $100 )
Or swap the entire exhaust system (350)

Thats what i found them for used online. I'm assuming the when i see a "ram dual 5.7 exhaust system" that is the same as the hemi?

Thanks in advance

Put the factory tail pipe resonators on. It'll take out some of the harshness and drone.

Yep, the 40 is a loud muffler, my son has one and is fed up with it.

I went with the Flowmaster 50 direct fit which they describe as made for the Hemi.

Nice rumble, lets people know when you step on it, and quiet in the cab.

Many have used the whole catback off a hemi on the V6...slight rumble, bolt on. Since you already have the dual cutout bumper?

Ram 5.7L trucks come with a 20" muffler, not counting the inlet & outlets
Magnaflow makes a 18" single in dual out muffler that sound good on a HEMI powered Ram

I think the FlowMaster 40 is a 14" muffler

I was in same situation as you. I bought a truck with a FlowMaster 40 and holy crap was it loud. I switched it with a FlowMaster 50 Series Big Block and now love it.
