That sounds like a crooked dealership bud. Change service department immediately.

It's the way it is. They can't help it. I did my own and IIRC I broke 3. I ended up just replacing all 8 coils ahead of time assuming I was going to break them all. Now I have 8 spare coils and 4 or 5 extra boots. Still cheaper than dealer doing the work. I'm also told now NAPA carries boot replacements(wasn't he case when I did mine, had to buy the whole coil to get just the boot).

I'm with ArmyofOne, if they break it they should fix it. I feel if it breaks like that it's defective anyway. There's a lot of cheap plastic materials on these new trucks, all of them. They should be responsible just by admitting they know they may break. My windsheild wiper nozzles are leaking because they are dry rotted....that's chicken poop! They're 20 dollars a peice to replace and a pain in the but to get to if you have from normal to big fingers. I siliconed mine for now, it just happened over the weekend and I haven't had time to go to town to get them yet. I'm starting to think we may have some biodegradable plastics that incinerate over a short period of time, lol!

It's like that with every manufacturer on these problematic items. If you have an F150 with a 5.4L and go to the dealer to get the plugs changed they will tell you that if the plug breaks they are not paying to have it extracted(sometimes involves head removal).

That's a good reason to own a diesel. No spark plugs

I am with the others who believe this to be bullshit. There is no freaking way I am buying that line and I too would be looking for a new dealer.

If thats the way Dodge wants to play, I'd start thinking about a new (non-Ram) truck....

You'll get the same response from the other manufacturers...
