Default How to lay down back seat on crew cab?

Is there a way to lay down (forward) the back seat in the 1500 crew cab? I couldn't find a release....and the 2013 Ram Owners Manual is not the best.

There is if you do the "backseat fold down mod". You pretty much just need to cut a 1/2" off the hooks on the back of the seat to allow it to fold forward when you fold the bottom up. Use the search engine on this forum and you'll find the thread with instructions and pictures explaining how to do it.

Ok I have to ask...whats behind them and is there something to gain from doing? I admit I looked at it but it didn't seem like there would be anything behind there to get to or see.

There is a bit of room behind them to store different items. I have a snow removal brush/ice scraper tucked up behind mine. Not sure what other people might have there.

Well, I just wasted 30 minutes of my life searching for this backseat fold down mod thread on this website. Got a link to it?

You can cut the hooks or use spacers.

Cut the hooks here: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....ighlight=hooks

Oh Christ, I was thinking the same thing, but now that I know it can be done it's going to haunt me until I check it out for myself!

This will definitely work on the 2013's? I thought I read some where that this would only work on the 2012's. In the link above the user has a 2012.

Quote from the link above "This is my first write up. I have 2012 express crew cab. Need space for future amp install and more space in general"
