Default Brand new truck but laramie interior doesn't look amazing?

Hey guys. I just bought a brand new 2013 dodge ram laramie. They did a full detailing on it and I thought it looked great. A few days later, in certain sunlight I noticed the whole black interior looked streaky and warn. Some of the black leather seating has streak marks and looks almost warn. Also the same with the black dash(which I believe is actual leather? If someone could clarify that) I bought "turtle wax ice interior care" and used it with a microfiber cloth. It doesn't seem to do anything to help me, as it still looks the same. Would really appreciate anyone's input and help with this problem as I just spent a ton of money on a truck and it's really bugging me that it doesn't look 100% mint. What are some ideas on products and such that could help me with my black leather interior and this problem? Anyone else have these issues or hear of them? Thanks in advance everyone.

First off, the dash pad is leather so you are correct there.

I would guess your issues are coming from whatever cleaning products your dealer used. They probably were in a rush to do the job and were using cheaper products. Your best bet is to wipe it all down with a set rag and start from scratch. I used Meguiars Interior Detailer for all plastic and vinyl in my vehicles. It's worked great for me for years in my vehicles and family/friends vehicles. Then use a good leather conditioner for the seats and other leather. I think I had a Meguiars product for that as well that also worked well.

Thanks a lot for the reply! I am guessing it was what you suggested. Quick and cheap. So leather conditioner is good for all the dash that's leather as well as all parts of seating that is leather? Just a wet cloth to wipe everything down and then conditioner on everything leather and interior detailer on everything else? Thanks kindly

I had an issues with my interior turning white in my 2011 Longhorn....I would take it back and have the dealer look after it for you....You don't need them to have any reason to question you......I would make an appointment and let them fix it.....Good luck......

I use a damp microfiber rag to wipe down the entire interior. Then exactly what you said. Start with Meguiars Interior Detailer on all the plastic and vinyl, then leather conditioner on the seats, dash, steering wheel, door inserts etc.

Thanks all for the responses. Appreciate it. Curious about cleaning marks off of the headliner. There are a few dirt marks. I know headliners aren't meant to get wet so is there a good product and method to try and remove marks from a tan headliner? Thanks in advance

I second the Meguiars cleaning kit! I've used almost all of the ones readily available and found Meguiars to be one of the best. Give that a shot first and if the problem still lingers then definitely take it to the dealer.

For the headliner though, I'm really not sure. Maybe try a steam cleaner? I know you can pick up a decent cheap one from Target for about $30. But if you decide to take it to the dealer don't bother, just make them fix that too!

I vote dealer used crappy cleaner or applied it in an un uniform manner.

For the headliner use this.

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...Fe4-Mgod1CAA6A#

As long as you don't use a ton of it the stuff will dry within minutes. Its great for the seats too (cloth guys). Use a microfiber to wipe the excess away. DO NOT use the supplied cap brush on the headliner but it works great on the cloth seats.

It drives me bonkers if I have any dirt on my headliner.

I use Meguiars leather conditioner wipes, comes in a handy dispenser, both the wife and I have black leather interior, she has a 300 SRT mine is a Ram Sport, and they both look great. I'd give it a try, you might want to wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth first to get whatever they put on off...
