Once again Brandon good information I appreciate that. I only asked the specific question on here because I looked through that thread and found good info. but I wasn't quite sure how it would directly apply to that setup. Do you know roughly how much the tires would stick out on that? I saw something like 1 5/8 out is that accurate? Again I appreciate the help.

A 295 wide tire on a 20x9 +12 offset should be fairly flush with the fender. As you go to more of a negative offset it will stick out further by the distance of the offset. So a 0 295 on a 20x9 0 offset will stick out approximately 3/8". -12 offset would stick out 7/8"

Oh ok I must have seen that number based on a 35x12.5. So the 0 offset will have no rubbing issues? Sorry to keep piling up the questions, I do appreciate it.

Yes the numbers would have been based off a 35x12.5. I used that in the thread since it's most common.... going through each wheel/tire set up individually would have taken forever. lol. But I did briefly explain how to calculate the poke in that thread as well.

No with those tires and a 0 offset wheel you won't have any rubbing issues at all.

I appreciate the info. man and getting your one on one attention. You do a great job answering questions on here. I would not expect you to go through every possible setup lol that would be ridiculous. I will have to go back and review the poke info. for future use I want to learn as much as I can since I knew virtually nothing before joining the forumz

No problem! I try to help out as much as I can where I can.

Yes it's all there under the "How Much Your Tires Will Stick Out" section. Again, how I explained in in there is pretty brief but it's enough information to at least get a rough idea of how far out they'll be.

I was wondering what some pros and cons are on going down to 17inch rim with 35x12.5 tire.I currently running 275/65r20 toyo open country at2. I was also thinking about going to a 35x12.5r20 with a offset rim. Any cons on running a -12 offset? Im just looking for input, just really not sure what to do! stuck between rim size and offset.

Is your truck leveled or stock? You will need to be leveled in order to run a 35x12.5 tire.

The pros to going down to a 17" rim is cost. Is quite a bit cheaper to get 17" wheels and tires than it is to get 20's. The cons are, IMO, they don't look as good. I personally think 20's look better on a full size truck. But everyone has their own opinion on that. Go with whatever you think looks better.

Possible cons for running a -12 offset depends on how you look at it. The only thing that's going to change significantly is how far your tire sticks out past the fender. So that does create the possibility of rocks and suck being thrown up the side of your truck.... but it doesn't happen often. That also gives your truck a much nicer stance which is worth it.

I currently have my truck leveled. Running -12 offset put anymore stress or wear on suspension or control arms or wearable parts on the truck? I was planning on getting fender flares.

No not a noticeable amount over a 0 offset. You'll be fine running that set up.
