Talking Update on headliner rattle.

Just picked up my Ram from the dealer today. Back story- trucks been at dealer off and on for the last year, 6 months out of the last 12. 1 to 5 weeks at a time. The headliner was replaced twice, and many adjustments. Dealer working with me the whole time. No complaining about them.
This time the service manger had me call Ram customer service, after 5 week, 1 restyled headliner, new windshield (glass guy broke it), I now have my truck back. Here's to hopping that this is the fix!

This is exactly why I think I'll live with my intermittent Headliner rattle. The rest of my truck is SOLID!!!

I am a little lost.. what exactly did they do that eliminated the rattle? Was it the headliner? The windshield?

Jaynuke. I had the same problem for over a year. Mine occurred only when the outside temperature was below 50 degrees, the noise was behind the sunroof and was very annoying. After 12 visits to the dealership and leaving it overnight each time I finally blew a gasket and insisted the service manager come for a ride with me. As soon as he heard the noise he knew it was the sunroof module causing it(as I had thought all along). The dealership changed it and I have had no problems since. The reason I think it took so long to find the problem was probably because it is a fairly big job to remove the headliner all the way and change the module(not the whole sunroof, just the cable and motor portion). My dealership decided to do the job the easy way those 11 or 12 times and just loosen parts of the headliner and bend and fiddle around behind it and hopefully locate the problem that way. If you have a sunroof I can almost guarantee it is the module causing it, insist they replace it, could save you many headaches.
