Default Electrical Gremlins

Seems that I have a few gremlins living in the wiring. They don't come out all the time but I am noticing things. Every once and awhile I will get an error on my EVIC for the trailer brake controller when I have nothing hooked up. The bluetooth will start acting up like not letting me use the audio or read texts and has to be reset. I have had the cruise control buttons not work while driving and then during the same trip start working again. Nothing has stayed as a permenant problem, they come and go but I will definetly be keeping track of it. I can only imagine the pain in hte ass it would be having the dealership try to track this crap!

Yikes bud, take it back to the dealer, and get them to run the codes on the Truck,

Fingers crossed it works out!

Well I bit the bullet and the goat went to the doctor this morning. Things were getting more persistent. It's basically a swap between the door switches like the lock/unlock button not working or the steering wheel controls not working.

Anyone want to take bets on if they find anything wrong. My money is on no they don't. All I know is if they don't, that is trip number 1 of 5 needed to call it a lemon. I hope a simple flash of the computer will resolve the issues. I really like the truck so far!

Almost sounds like it's reverting back to "shipping mode". In shipping mode none of the gadgets work.

I thought if the dealer didn't do it, ship mode disabled itself after 50 miles on the odometer.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. I guess if it can disable itself it stands to reason that it can intermittently enable itself too? Just a supposition is all based on what he is reporting.

OK got word from the doctor and there were a few trouble codes... they replaced the speed control switch which "should fix the cruise control isue". The codes he read off to me were:
P0579-00 which he said was related to the brake controller
U0002-88 which has something to do with the radio frequncy hub?
B-2289-00 which I think has to do with the speed control

Does anyone know where I can get a list of current trouble codes in this truck and how to check them? used to be you could turn the key on and off like 5 ties and it would flash them for you. I tried that and it didn't work for me.

I bought a wifi enabled OBD port scanner. Just plug it in and pair it with my iPhone and use the scanner app on my phone. All the info you could ever want.

dx.com is a great place to find them cheap. All sorts of them there.

I have one like this:

So they replaced the speed control switch, (buttons on the steering wheel) and the ordered a new radio frequency hub. Does anyone know what this does? Tech told me it has to do with the keyless entry and remote start stuff. They cleared the codes but that just clears it, doesn't fix it.
