as a long time Toyota owner, I am one of those people. I expect things to work when I drop 49K on a truck.
honestly, I never really had any problems with my Toyota trucks when new. I few minor issues after some miles. My last tundra 2010 limited TRD was flawless until 55-60K miles when I traded it.
I just loved the Ram so I got one. So far mine has been good. We'll see if it can do as well as the Toyota.
I got the lifetime bumper to bumper just to make me feel better, because, let's face it, Chrysler doesn't exactly have a reputation like Toyota.
That said, I truly believe these new Rams are better than the older ones you hear so many stories about. for starters, no Chrysler slush box was a huge selling point for me. Without the new ZF 8, I probably wound't own one
