Default 2012 Ram 1500 Wont Start cold weather.

Battery is not dead. Lights on, blinkers work, locks work. I turn the key, I get 5 buzz sounds from the electronic ignition, does not turn over. Block heater required? Something else?

You should take it in to be diagnosed. Maybe there is an issue w your starter. Even on cold days it should turn over.

Renovator, if you can, using a multimeter/ohmmeter, measure voltage at battery when key is turned to start position. If it is below 10 vdc, you might be in need of a new battery. Lead Acid batteries can be very temperamental in extreme cold weather.

Take it to AutoZone and have it load tested. It's most likely bad, even though you may see good voltage.

I had the same problem last year, I pulled the little black box thing by your left knee and reinserted in back and I didn't have any more problems

Had the same starting problem, jump started and brought to dealer. They checked, said it's severely discharged and will be a warranty replacement. In and out in a hour. Battery must stay connected in truck for them to check and replace under warranty.
