I'm not a fan of bed covers, but I think everyone should have a spray in liner.

I've got a factory spayed line-ex? or some such brand. It is high quality and I'm happy with it.
I've really been looking at a bed-rug lately. I use my truck for all things but loading it with rocks/dirt and gravel is pretty rare.
The bed rug is in my future (i think) but if anyone has one and hates it please speak your mind.

It kinda depends on what you plan to do with the bed....with that said:

If you're going to put a good tonneau cover or cab style cover on it then you can go with a bed rug or most DIY bed liners for light duty stuff.

If you plan on using your bed for more or have it open to the elements I would go spray-on like Line-x before a hard plastic one. The plastic ones tend to scrape the bed and will cause it to rust over time.

I work for a general contractor so I have to use my bed a decent amount. I went with Line-X and so far have had no complaints at all! Stuff can handle anything and comes with a pretty good warranty.

Spray in bedliner is the way to go for sure. Plastic drop in liners will hold water and random junk like rocks which will scratch away at the paint and start causing rust to form. Under my drop in cover, it looks like a war had happened

I had a Line-X spray in liner installed when I bought my truck new in 2002 and its still going strong today. I've used it to haul dirt, crushed rock, construction materials, and tools. It's been a real good investment and has help up very well over the years.

I have also had a Pacesetter Jack Rabbit roll up bed cover for almost as long. I've been mostly pleased with it, but I recently found one similar to it called RETRAX, that looks like it would better seal out the water that leaks into the bed. It also has sealed roller bearings to make it glide open and shut easily. My Jack Rabbit's seals have worn over time and does leak a little.

I kind of liked the idea of the versatility of a roll up cover, knowing it most likely wouldn't keep out all the water like a rigid tonneau cover.

def do the spray in. Got mine done a few weeks after getting the truck, and i was very impressed. its also pretty thick. I think the liner i got sprayed in is around 1/16th of an inch if not more.

its an investment that will last the life of the truck, and well worth it.
