Cool BFGoodrich Rugged Terrain T/A - good, bad or ugly?

Want to put these on a 2012 SLT 2wd. Any experience???

They get good reviews at Tire Rack and a couple other sites.

I do probably 90% ON road and the rest gravel/country roads and the occasional trip into the backyard.

Thanks in advance for any help.

They'd likely be fine for your intended use.

I have been less than impressed with them in more offroad, heavy duty application, at least compared to the AT/KO. But, like I said, for what you describe, I don't see why not.

One thing though, is that depending on what size you get, they can be either P or LT. I would definitely get the LT version.

I run these tires on our work trucks (they came stock) on the highway they’re pretty good but off road… not so much, especially if its slick. So if you stick to the pavement like you mentioned you should be fine, if you play in the bush quite a bit I would step up to the AT’s which is what I will be doing when I wear them out. JMHO.

I had them on a Nissan truck a few years ago and didn't care for them. I do a fair amount of offroad travel and they were not very good. However, they may work perfectly for your use. I found the tread wear, rain performance, and snow performance were average (not bad, but not great). As expected, I found them significantly quieter than the AT's.

They weren't bad tires, but they came stock on a truck I bought and didn't fit my needs.
