Funny? My meter says that my truck has idled for 8 hours. The first time I saw that I freaked out because I keep inadvertently starting the truck with my remote start in my pocket, and I thought "Oh ,crap!, 8 hours? It's been worse than I thought!" but now, 3 weeks later it still say the truck has idled for 8 hours, so I take it with less than a grain of salt.

Mine is a Hemi, and as you can see my counter works just fine.

I think somebody is feeding you some BS at your dealership?!?

I have 3 idle hours at 4000 miles so its counting something.

My guess is its the idle time in neutral, I use the remote start often and when I first got it I was letting it idle in park for a while playing with the radio/gadgets with it running.

So since yours is counting that means that it was designed to work with the hemi engine and not just the diesel. I have found others who's counter works too guess some of us have either a computer/software issue with our truck or they forgot to hookup the idle wore or sensor. I will ask my dealer in a week or so when I take it in for an oil change.

I wonder if the run hours are a summation of idle and run or of idle is logged separate from run hours.
