Default New custom exhaust: Picture heavy and sound clips to come

I ended up being able to borrow my buddys welding setup this weekend to get to the exhaust, but I still have not received my DMH cut out yet

I would like to send a shout out to Andrew and Bullys Performance, for the amazing costumer service and insane pricing that blew everyone else away, along with second to none shipping.

To start off i had to take down my old exhaust so here is a comparison between the 5x8x18 and the 5x11x22 maggie.

I loved the growl of the 18" in town but i put a lot of road miles on and the drone was just getting to be to much after LTs and a cam.

After i had that down off the truck the next part was to remove the after market y-pipe that came with the headers to weld on 1 side of the v-band clamp.

After that was re-installed i moved on the the cutout y-pipe and the opposite side of the v-band to the 4ft piece stainless pipe.

Next after many fitment checks and cussing we were able to tack on the muffler and the tail pipe under the truck and bring them out to weld them solid.

For the hangers, i purchased some solid 1/2 in stainless bar, after some time finessing them with a torch and crescent wrench i was able to get all the contours i needed for a very solid fit

Being that is was raining most of the weekend i dont have any sound clips yet, i really would like to wait until my cutout comes in so i can do all of them at the same time. I plan to do a comparison at least at idle of all 3: 18" 22"and cutout, if everything works right there will be a fly by of the 22" and cutout as well.

What i can say, i i really love the sound of the 22" its definitely quiet, but it has a much more defined rumble to the exhaust and it just sounds much cleaner. Also there is absolutely no drone at all at any rpm which is perfect.

Thanks for reading

Thank you very much guys, it was a pretty good weekend project. It all went pretty smooth just time consuming getting everything lined up correctly, but well worth it to have 100% stainless all the way from heads to the tail pipe

Well it finally stopped raining long enough for me to grab a few quick videos in the drive tonight, i plan on grabbing some more this weekend of interior and exterior passes but it started rain right after i finished these tonight

So i ended up getting the DMH cut out installed on tuesday

And i put on a turn down just so it didnt rattle in cab so bad with it opened up and help protect the cut out

So here is the 18" magnaflow that i had on before the swap at idle with a quick rev.

This is an idle clip of the new 22" magnaflow, (thanks to andrew @ bulys)

Here is a idle clip of with the DMH cut out opened up

And finally here is a quick clip of the transition between open and closed along with a couple little revs

Thanks for watching
