Howdy Walter, and welcome to what's affectionately known as "The Z". We love stories and pictures. Thanks for sharing. There's a lot of great knowledge, ideas and info available here on the Z. Don't hesitate to ask a question, share your knowledge and opinions, or boast about your beast.

No, you can't disable it. I guessing your asking because it's always going off in your pocket. What you can do is either buy a leather pouch for it, making it more difficult to set off in your pocket. Or for the extreme, open the FOB up and remove the contact that sits under the push tab.

With the old style none push button start fob you can carefully pull it apart take the rubber piece off. There are little metal tabs on the rubber piece remove the metal tab of the button for the panic alarm and it should not be able to make contact. My wife's key wouldn't work because the tab was missing from the rubber piece.
Good luck
Mick

Thx for your help. My solution: i took the fob apart and placed a foldet like an "U" piece of metal plate above the button... works so far and is removable easy
