Unhappy 06 charger hemi has common engine failure?? help!

Ive recently went through a series of mechanical issues on my 06 charger.....from a leaky water pump to a stripped spark plug and a bad piston....after trying to research any ideas why this is happening, I came across a slew of complaints about the 06 charger saying its common to have total engine failure! Is this true? It says the charger showing no symptoms at all then next thing you know it wont start! The more I read, the more I seen something about it's usually a dropped valve seat...which I know nothing just looking for advice on if I should trade mine in, its been a good 5 years, but I can't afford another 5000 in a engine....I just want a great car for me and my daughter....and the dodge charger is my favorite....any experiences or advice?
