Default Finally got my tow mirrors

I put an ad on the local classifieds to swap mirrors for tow mirrors and a guy emailed me said he had brand new ones only been on his truck for a year. I ended up getting em for $100 plus I did the swap. I think it was a good deal

And NO I don't drive around with them flipped up pulling a ghost trailer. I hooked up to my buddy's 18' enclosed trailer last weekend to pick up a furnace unit and the stock mirrors are garbage for towing.

That's a really good deal! You can always determine the age group of the driver by the status of his mirrors., when not pulling a trailer. Lol Those are the same mirrors I have, they are awesome.

Damn they've got some hang time!

Changes the truck's entire front appearance. Is this a functional mod or an appearance mod only?

Congrats.

Both... I like the look of them when flipped down just gives a better look then te stock chrome non tow mirrors... Ad they are functional and will be in gonna be lookin at getting an enclosed trailer hopefully within the next year or so. And in the mean time when I use my buddy's trailer the non tow mirrors are terrible for towing

I agree with the non-tow mirrors used for towing comments.

Question for you guys, who has tow mirrors: I got a 2014 Laramie with tow mirrors and having a hard time getting used to the thing that passenger side mirror is not a " objects in mirror are closer that they appear" type thing. I have a feeling that I'm getting a very narrow view and a big blind spot in a non-towing position.
1. What was your experience adjusting yourself to this ?
2. Are there any replacement mirror lenses that would be a " objects in mirror are closer that they appear" type deal?
I hate to think that I will have to replace my mirrors with the regular ones.

I know what you mean they are hard to get used to. But what I basically did was adjust the big part to see the box side and the hole rear behind you then the out side part I set to view from the very back of the truck and it checks the hole blind spot so I can see just the taillight and the hole blind spot to the side of the truck.. It's Garda to explain I can try and get a picture from te driver seat for you.. But it's just how I have mine set and for my preference
