Default Sylvania Silverstar zXe??

I have been weeding through the posts using the search function. What I am wondering is of those of you that switched to the zXe's, how are you liking them? How has the longevity been? I had the Silverstar Ultra's on my last vehicle and definately liked them better than stock. I am just trying to figure out if the extra money is worth it for the zXe.

Also, I have an 2014 1500 Outdoorsman. I am confused on which bulbs I need for the low beams, and which for the fog lights ?

Thanks for your input!

Lows are H11 and fogs are 9006. I have the ZXEs in my high beams and HIDS for lows and fogs and am very happy with the output from the HIDs over the stock bulbs. Wiring them in was a learning experience and test of patience, but has been worth it.

I couldn't drive at night without lows and fogs on before the HID switch, and now I hardly ever use the fogs because I don't need the light from them to see at night.

Thanks for the reply. I would rather stay with the regular bulbs than wire in HID's.

Sylvania is not much brighter, use 9012 HIR in fogs will help a lot.
Sylvania has a class action settlement against them for overstating their bulbs.

I had the zXe's in my '08 GMC Sierra and while they were slightly brighter than stock, it wasn't much. You do get closer to the color of a lot of the HIDs you see on the road, but not the brightness.

I installed the zXe's on my truck today on the low beams and fog lights. I wouldn't necessarily say that they are a lot brighter, but the light put out from them is definately whiter than the yellow hue from the stock bulbs. Overall I like the whiter light.

Boy o Boy is it a headache to change the headlight bulbs on these trucks! I didn't realize that the process would include removing the grill. Of course the manual didn't show me how to do it, I had to run a search on the net to figure it out.
