Well after 81,000 miles I finally decided to change the plugs. The truck had no issues, but I was feeling guilty because of the mileage. Much to my surprise, this is how good they looked after 81,000.

The gap info should be indicated on your EPA sticker on the hood.

at about 40,000 miles, your center electrode starts to begin deteriorating, the nice sharp corners start to round off
you will start noticing a slight decrease in MPG
i changed my plugs the first time at 42,000 miles & the 2nd time at 97,000 miles
my center electrodes were rounded off the last time
