Default Borla cat back question and feedback

Part # 140307 .
I'm looking for someone that has this. Are the tips larger than the OEM ones.
Are you happy with the sound? I just sold my Corsa xtreme today for my charger I traded in on the Ram. I loved the sound of that. Where is the best place to get one. Thanks for any help.

I have the Borla with 5" tips on my Dodge Magnum, I like it a lot. I had the Borla on my Ram, but after 210,000 miles, it started to crack, so I replaced with an AEM. Borla has the best sound, you'll love the sound, just a heads up, if you keep it for a long time, it might not make it to a million miles. I'd try Summit, but you can go to Borla's web site and buy direct.

Here is another suggestion, go with the Borla XR-1 and get someone to fab up the rear exhaust. The XR-1 is a better muffler than the one in the kit in terms of performance. 3" in to 3" out. Split the outlet with a y pipe and it will bolt up to stock exhaust. Swap tips and viola!

The cat backs are nice, but expensive. You can get the same borla sound and more performance this way. My whole exhaust was under $300. Put that savings somewhere else! You can get 5" tips from matt at moes for $200. So for $500 you have a better exhaust system than the cat back. Just my 2 cents!

+1 on the XR-1!

I thought about the cat back, but really couldn't find any reason (performance, mileage, etc...) to justify it over just putting in a muffler so I got an XR-1. I would order from Summit (which is what I did) as Hydrex suggested, because it came to $116 shipped, whereas Borla wanted $146 before shipping from their site. Installation was just under $150 for parts (Y-pipe etc...) and labor. I had it put in on Saturday.

And that sound!!

Tips are much bigger than stock! Just had that model installed on my truck this am. Love the look love the sound. Quiet till you get on it then it roars. 5in dia tips and like a foot long. Cames with a borla hat lol. I got mine from jegs but had them price match amazon.
