Default 5.7 Hemi: Does head porting affect emissions?

I may be interested in having the heads ported in my truck when it is time to rebuild the engine. In California I have to maintain compliance wit the emission laws. Does anyone know if I'd be risking anything?

Kelevra will become famous soon enough

When ever you do something major like this to an engine whether it's boring/stroking, camming, porting it's going to effect the emissions of the engine as you're changing the way air flows into and out of the engine and how much is has to combust. if you're going to port the heads you more than likely will need a proper tune to get the fuel levels and the full benefit out of it and to keep it within the deal A/F ratios and emissions. Keep this in mind and make sure you have a reputable dyno/tune shop to help along with this process as they will be more than helpful dialing you in and keeping you legal

Yes It can.
Nothing that a tuner shouldn't be able to deal with.
