great explanation.

i work with venturies every day (part of the theory behind my job)

Very nice job, I was wondering how much time it took? As for the share and pics, reps to you.

Looks awesome.. Nice job. I also really like your vernier Caliber.. I hate using my manual 1 for measurements in my metrology lab.

I don't get what you guys are trying to accomplish. It's fuel injected, not carbureted, so you don't benefit from pressure reduction at the butterfly area.
Looks to me like the best you will get, is back to square one, that being the air velocity of the original 82 mm diameter at the butterfly point. Where you enlarged it after the butterfly will only slow the 82mm air mass speed back down.

^the computer uses the manifold absolute pressure sensor(along with many others) and can adjust fuel based on the increase in volume of air flow into the engine. It does make a difference. Not a whole lot, but a little.

Didn't enlarge it after the butterfly. Just did a gradual taper to match up with the intake manifold. I went from 82MM to 83MM. Big yip. Like I said. I didn't do it in hopes of making some kind of noticeable difference. I did it because I can.
