Stand in your bed and if that's not enough, climb onto the bed's side rails and reach.

You'll get about [at least] 90% of the roof's surface area that way. The remainder you can knock out standing on the sill panel of the DS & PS side.

Can't stand in the bed, I have a hard tonneau on it!

I have the Leer 700 as well and use one of those tool box seats to stand on. With this I can get easily get to the centre of the Leer cover and the hood. For the roof and wind shield I just stand on the door sills. Have it down to 45 minutes for a complete wash and dry job.

I have the exact same problem, so much surface area. I end up using a ladder on each side of the truck to reach the middle, as well as kneeling on my bed toolbox to reach the hard areas. And thank goodness for a roll-up tonneau cover to help get to the roof of the cab.

I also find the platform comes in handy to polish & wax my hood so I do not have to lean against the side panels while doing the work.

I also use a small step ladder for the hood, roof, and rear window area. I usually wash/wax mine at least every 2 weeks and have a system down to make the job faster and easier. I do miss having a smaller car when it comes to detailing.

Thanks for the work platform idea! Ordered a Torin model today from Amazon for 70 bucks. I can think of many uses for it.
