A relay is an electrical device, typically incorporating an electromagnet, that is activated by a current or signal in one circuit to open or close another circuit. Basically, it allows a switch with lower current, in the cab, to open the relay (another switch) in the fuse box, to let higher current pass through so that you don't have high amps running through your cab.
