Default 3:55 axel ratio to 3:92 or 4:10 ?????

Ok ram community its crunch time need to decide between a swap from 3:55 axel ratio to the 3:92 or the 4:10. Keep in mind I have the 6 speed tranny that is hurting my low end performance. This is strictly a performance based decision for torque and speed off the line. Please note I will never pull a trailer or anything like that. Any and all recommendations and advice would help me out.

We'll there isn't much of a difference between 3.92 or 4.10 so depends on what you want. Is this a 1/8 or 1/4 mile drag thing or just for fun?

This is just for fun, 6 speed tranny needs some help. I'm more interested in 0-110mp.

I went from 3.55's to 3.92 and I'm mostly happy.

It helped my bottom end out obviously, but I was disappointed with my top end. I didn't expect my top end to suffer as much as it did. It seems like my 60-100 or over got cut down by a 3rd or so...

If you only care about bottom end, and don't do highway driving much, I would say might as well get the 4.10s.

Unless you're racing with slicks, I just do not see the point. The truck will not feel any quicker on the street. If you were going from 2.55 to 4.10... well then that's a whole different story. Twenty years ago when I was building street machines, I actually went away from 4 series gears and found that 3.2 to 3.5 was about the ideal ratio for the rear end. And those were in the days of not having deep first gears in the tranny like we have today.

Go deep, 4.56's and add a converter, night and day difference.
