Cool MPG mods list, some crazy, some cool

I came across this while looking for something completely unrelated, and found it interesting. Seeing as so many of us are searching for ways to squeeze every drop of fuel efficiency out of our heavy trucks, I thought id share....maybe theres something somebody can use.

Delete wipers, delete handles, delete side mirrors, delete antenna, underbody tray [cover], engine swap, delete alternator......

Do I really need to go on B4 you grasp the absurdity?

Someone's pissing on someone's back and trying to convince them a storm's brewing.

As I noted in the original post, some of them are indeed crazy, however Id like to see the data behind oil viscosity affecting MPG.

40 psi in tires, K&N air filter, insulate airbox and intake tubing with refletix, leave cruise on all the time even if you don't use it, bed cover, no mudflaps. 75w90 synthetic in the rear end, synthetic engine oil, right mirror tucked in, etc.

The real useful information from that site is:
The ONLY thing that you need to do to achieve great MPG, is......
Adjust the NUT behind the wheel.

Unfortunately, HP is tooooo much fun!

I use a ScanGauge II on my vehicle. This gives me a ready reference to TPS, and I drive based on that reference.
Accelerate from stop = 20/24, cruise at 50MPH = 17, cruise at 65mph = 19/20.
I increased the air pressure and waxed my truck. The first two (2) tank's netted 19.87mpg. So that is my start point.
I installed the VaraRam CAI at the start of this tank #3, and will be filling up tonight. I always run two tanks to get a solid MPG result for a modification. Yes, I know air temp has an effect on MPG, along with Wind/Rain. Been chasing MPG for a bunch of years.

I have a whole list of Mod's waiting, because my objective is to achieve 30MPG, or as close as possible. But an very systematic on the approach to know what works and what does not for the specific vehicle.

Traded my '05 Hyundai Accent that was netting 42MPG for this RAM. I know the RAM will never get that (I wish it would though). The Wife's '02 Firebird T/A get's 31PMG, and I have not done much with it yet.

St Louis to Toledo Ohio I got 28mpg at 68mph. Fairly flat terrain. Hills really kill mpg with a v6.
