Default Hi everyone .

I am new to the forum and have a question. I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 and have a heater problem . My defrost works ok but my problem is at the vents and floor vents. It only blows warm air ( not ever hot ) only on the passenger side and not the drivers side. Any help please .

Hi Mark, and welcome to the RamForumZ. Sounds like a very common problem. You have a couple doors and vents behind the dash that change the flow and temp of the air coming in. I'm thinking those doors/vents are not working correctly. Unfortunately, the only way to fix them is to pull the dash. It's not too difficult of a job, however it will take you a couple hours to get it out, and a couple more to get it back in. Or, if you've got a good mechanic and a few hundred dollars to spare, you can have your mechanic take a look at it.

What is your temp gage showing. You may have a thermostat problem if it is not getting up to normal operating temp.

Default Try looking at HeaterTreater web site

Hi Mark: Mine is also doing strange things. I checked out this company that makes new replacement air control doors for Ford and Dodge. They have videos on You Tube about how to fix the issue, which is usually broken air control doors. I looked at one of mine behind the glove box and found the door is gone...just shredded plastic on the motor shaft, and the rest in the bottom of the housing. Waiting till warm weather to fix that one! Do some checking on your truck after you watch their video. That's what I did. And BTW, Good Luck!
