Pulling the abs fuse does turn off the traction control and so does a programmer, however it also turns your truck into a one wheel peel piece of junk. At least it does to my 2010 slt!

Holding the button only fully disables traction control while you are in four wheel drive.

Best bet is to buy a diablo sport tuner.. It gives you the option to disable your traction control whenever you want.
