It was the front drivers side wheel bearing.. $450 and it runs like new again. To check raise truck and grab wheel and shake.. Should not wiggle in and out. Mine was about to fall off and was humming, grinding and clicking. Thanks for all the help.

Just fyi Rock Auto carries the Timken brand of hub assembly and the cost of it for my 07 Mega was $139 usd. Timken is a made in USA bearing and I would classify it as top grade especially compared to the offshore stuff most chain stores carry.

$450 bucks for a $139 dollar part that takes about 30 minutes to change??? I am constantly reminded how glad I am that I do my own work.

hope all worked out well, yes the noise and shudder you describe when turning the wheel is the bearing hub, usually good to around 100,000 miles on the 04 05 ram 1500. no parts i have found aftermarket other than moog will be as good as the original chrysler parts, and by the way guys those old roadrunners and superbees i used to drive in the 60s and 70s never made it 100,000 miles,
it was fix it every time we raced (of course we won 99 out of 100 against chevy and ford) so 100,000 isnt to bad for a factory chrysler part huh?
