Just an FYI……

I had a 2013 RAM 2500 4x2 diesel with the 245/70R17 tires and wheels (chrome clad steel OEM wheels) and it looked terrible. The wheel/tire diameter was 30.6". I was going to level it (I had a 3.25" rake) and look into larger tires.

Fate stepped in and due to an issue with the truck, the dealer bought it back and I now have a 2014 RAM 2500 4x2 diesel.

This truck is the same as the 2013, but it has the factory chrome clad 18" wheels with 275/70R18 tires. This wheel/tire combo has a diameter of 33.2".

The same truck with this OEM bigger wheel/tire package looks like an entirely different truck!! I don't feel the need to change anything on this truck.

Before you commit to spending too much money, maybe stop by a dealer lot and see what will fit without any suspension changes and how you like the look.

Good luck...

Those 285/75R17s look really good. Keep a close to oem width while increasing overall diameter. I'm definitely contemplating these tires when my stockers wear out.

Good plan, only reason I upgraded so early is the stock tires were flat spotted from sitting on the lot and in lieu of replacement the dealership sent me a check and I put then on for very little out of pocket.

It drives me nuts that the 2013 Ram 2500 Cummins came with stock 245/65R17 tires. First thing I did was replaced the wheels... after 4 months, I replaced the tires as well and now have 285/65R17. Much better look to the truck. I also added the 2" spacer on the front. "Cheap" upgrades to make the truck look better.

That is strange...mine came with 265/70R17. NICE PICTURE!
