Default ARH headers and the oil dipstick tube

Hey guys, I've got the 1 7/8" ARH headers and I found that I'm cooking my dipstick in the tube. Literally, there's smoke coming out of it when I've run the truck up to temperature and the dipstick itself has developed a permanent bend in it from the tube, which means I've heated it to the point that it's no longer "spring steel" like it should be.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? I am tempted to wrap the tube with header wrap, but since I'm dead set on having a show-condition engine bay, header wrap is kind of counter productive. Other options?

High heat-resistant spray?

Build yourself a heat shield around the dipstick tube instead.

A piece of light duty tubing that'll slide over the dipstick with a bracket welded to it,so you can bolt it to either a header bolt or any other convient bolt is what i'd look at.

Stomp around Pick Your Part, you might find something that already has a heat shield around the tube.
Some older smallblock Chevy's and Pontiacs used to use a factory dipstick heat shield
