Default help with front end "bump"

I need a little help. 04 2wd quad cab 1500.
I have a almost constant bumping in the left front wheel. If it were a 4wd I would say it was a CV axle but that isn't the case. I haven't had a chance yet to pull the wheel. Where would you guys start? Ball joint?

It could be a bad tire or maybe the tire is off balance. I would try rotating the tires to see if that changes things. If not then check the bearings ball joints and other moving parts.

I know it sounds weird, but check the brakes and make sure a pad isn't hanging up. That was the problem with one of our firefighter's dodge truck. He greased the pins and good to go.

I second that, my pass front caliper had a siezed guide pin on the caliper and it would hang up and make a 'thud' when it released. caliper hardware kit, some grease, adn about an hour of work and it was fixed.

Is it a rotational bumb? There's already been some good advice posted, but let me recap. Rotate the tires and see if it follows, if it doesn't, then it's isolated to the left front. Check the brakes next. If it's not rotational, it could be a ball joint, a loose shock or a something else that is loose.

Is it over bumps ? certain road surfaces. Sounds like the sway bar links. Drove me nuts for quite some time. removed the sway bar,did a short road test and it was gone. replaced both links and was silent as as church mouse. Takes about 30 minutes to replace both. Rock Auto I would recommend, get the Raybestos profession grade, they are greaseable. Hope this helps !
