Default Transmission delay

So im at 8k miles and every now and then going from reverse to drive it will sometimes take 3-5 seconds to engage. I havent check trans fluid, being so new i assume its full. Has anyone had this issue?

I'm not sure if you have the 8 speed or 6 speed...but if you have what is now considered the "regular" gear selector and not the rotary style that the 8 speed has, 3 seconds is considered to be within factory specs. If it is actually taking longer than 3 seconds then there could be an issue.

Are you still rolling (in Reverse) when you get the long delay? Or are you at a dead stop?

3-5 seconds is too long for a R-D (or N-D) engagement. See if your dealer can monitor (and record) turbine speed and line pressure during one of your long engagements, to see what's going on.
