Default 2013 5.7 Hemi Engive Block Heater

Does anyone have a picture of where the cord/plug is for the heater? Do I need to open the hood? Doing searches and can't find much on it.

Thanks in advance.

Open your hood and check just left of the radiator and the headlight, that's where my cord was hanging. Good luck.

I found mine tied up on passenger side of the radiator. There was enough slack to come out through the hood. But I rerouted mine to come out by the tow hooks.

When it hits -40 here in Quebec, I plug it in, even with full synthetic oil the truck still tells me off when I start it LOL.

Here are the pics for the location on my truck. Should be the same for all the 4th gen trucks

Mine was tucked inside the hood just over the passenger headlight.

Thanks guys. I'm new to a block heater so really appreciate the info. Supposed to get to near 0 tonight in Massachusetts so my plan was jus tot plug it in overnight but after seeing some put them on timers I'm thinking I shouldn't leave it overnight. Is that a correct assumption?

You can leave it plugged in overnight, it's just not necessary. 2-3 hours prior to starting is typically sufficient. We've been around -30C overnight here recently and I've been plugging in overnight...normally use a timer, but it's not working and need to get a new one. I typically don't bother plugging in until -20C.

what part of Winnipeg do you live in? I leave mine plugged all day and night with the frigid temperatures we've been having lately!

I have yet to plug my truck in... My truck sits for up to a week at a time.
