Default Shifting noise behind dash

I have a 2013 Ram Big Horn Crew Cab with a center console (floor) shifter. At 800 miles I noticed a loud clicking sound coming from the key area behind the dash when I shift into or out of park. I took my truck to the dealer I purchased it from and they diagonsed it with an "excessively noisey" winn ignition module. The dealer replaced the part and the noise continued. The dealer put a second winn ignition module on the truck last week and the noise continues. I am now being told it is a normal noise from the new interlock in the inginition module which is all now electrical for the 2013 model. Maybe Ram should have kept 2012 type module because my friend has 2012 Ram and his does not make any noise like mine. The noise is ridiculously loud, so loud that you can hear it over the radio when it is halfway up. To me it is unacceptable as loud as it is and extremely ridiculous for a new truck to have such a noise inside the cab! In addition, some food for thought the dealership told me that the latest revised ingition module they put on my truck has a part number that ends in "AE" and that when a part is first manufactured it ends in "AA," so that is an indication to them that the part has had problems, but they did not specify what kind of problems. I have been advised to contact chrysler with my dissatifaction with the noise because in their opinion it is normal. I dont understand why they replaced the part at all if it supposedly normal. I am also considering taking the truck for a second opinion. Any ideas????

mine makes the noise I just don't worry about it, not like i am shift 90000 times a day. I just chalk it up to being normal, cause it did it since day one.

I just notice today, my truck does the same thing. The clicking sound is coming from the ignition module. The question is: Is this normal? Any in sight from any one on the forum? How about Ram Tech?

I just don't remember my truck making the noise from day one. It's so loud I think I would have noticed it. Hoping someone on forum has an answer. If it is considered normal Ram needs to do something to make it quieter! FYI looks like there are similar complaints on forum under "2013 dodge ram noise when shifting."

Any update on this? My 2013 w/ column shifter just started doing this at 2000 miles. It is embarrasingly loud!
