That's a given.
You're expecting alot out of the exhaust manufacture'rs.
They build exhaust systems to fit mutiple applications with one part number.
I highly doubt you'll find one specifically for a shortbox regular cab truck.
For one,the most common trucks are QC and CC trucks, not shortbox R/T's
Why are you having a hard time with this, buy yourself a hacksaw and use some tape wrapped around the pipe you need to cut,and go to town.
Or buy a system and find somebody to install it for you if you're not mechanically inclined.
It's not hard to change exhausts on new trucks, differant story maybe if the truck is 5 years old with a bunch of miles on it,but you'rs is new,so it'll come apart with just basic hand tools and some elbow grease.
I have the same basic truck, took me about 2 hours to change mine to a Magnaflow system, doing it on my back on my driveway by myself with nothing more then your standard handtools.
I do have a chopsaw, but i've cut many a pipe with-out one using a good old hacksaw and some effort.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=9094
This kit will fit your truck, read the application it fits Standard / Quad and Crew cab shortbox trucks, you just have to make it the length you want
Standard cab = Regular cab

ask a simple question and get a condescending answer. a simple yes or no would have been adequate .

How very nouveau to hear a 53 yr old call anyone dude , especially someone 19 yrs their senior. The reason this is not my first post on the subject is that one post was on the general sub forum , one on the vendors in order to reach a larger segment of members who might provide some knowledgeable information ( not everyone reads all the sub forums).

Well at 72 years of age,you should know what a phone is.
Maybe pick one up and call the manufacture'rs whose products you are interested in.
Much better way to go about getting the information you want then getting internet advice.
Only 3 posts in 3 differant areas,if you're not getting the info you need in the first 2 posts, maybe the lightbulb should come on,and you should use a phone.
Just saying.

After 9 yrs of post college education , 20 yrs of teaching in medical school , 2 yrs in the usaf ,and 30 yrs of medical practice , i so enjoy getting advice from someone whose greatest accomplishment appears to be vast experience with a hack saw.

Well to answer your initial question cat back system usually are direct bolt unless they otherwise mention. Grub has a great review of the magnaflow catback in his sig.

There is also flow master and I even think Borla makes a cat back for these trucks.
