msrp starts at $55K. That's a big negative.

Not sure where your getting that from? You can go on Ram's website and build and price one. You can get a nicely optioned crew cab big horn ecodiesel for $45k. While that is still spendy its in line with chevy, or Ford 1/2 ton crew cab trucks. I believe 55k is the highest price possible for the top of the line fully loaded model with the ecodiesel

the 55k number would be for the Laramie Crew Cab w/ Ramboxes & air suspension

the video that i posted covers the prices & everything including seating, along with the test drive with & without towing a heavier trailer, it is a long video but worth viewing

The diesel in the 1/2 ton is supposed to be a $2800 option. Better than the 7K for the Cummins.

You can get a Ram 3.0 diesel for right around 30K. It is a base model but it is not 55k.

Yeah, you should be able to do that easily. I think it's available in every trim except Express and Sport. I just went on the Ram website and built my dream ecodiesel. Big Horn crew cab optioned out nicely and it was at $46k. A little pricey, but that is MSRP, of course. Usually there are at least $6k in incentives on these trucks so for under $40k you can get yourself a great 1500 with amazing mpg

Very interested in it. I however love the feel of a motor that pins you back in the seat like the off the line power you get from the hemi. Looking forward to hearing some post from people that get it. Very exciting!

My neighbor has been testing one for about 5 months now he claims they just towed a 9000 lbs trailer from Texas to Michigan and avg 27 mpg But d fuel 70 to 80 cents more per gallon and the additives they had to add at each fill up at 12.00 per bottle and the 2500 more cost at purchase it's not worth it unless to tow all the time every day driving was 21 city 31 hwy with no load
