Cool 05 hemi quad cab 106k for $6500 good deal?

Hi all. Looking to buy this. The guy seems very legit. He said he encouraged a cashiers check and would take $6500 . He is 100 miles from me. He said he also encouraged me to have a shop check it out for piece of mind. He also would take my junker which I was gonna drive there as partial payment the junkyard would tow it away for him. He was going to lwt me use his plates too as long as I sent him a copy of proof of surrendering them. Then I could drive it back and we could avoid several hassles. What do you guys think? I know blue book is much more. Ill try posting some pics and the link. It has some small rust forming by the wheel wellsand he said he fixed part of the bed cause it was rusting. It looks good from the pics and carfax was clean.

This site is incredibly slow. Anyway he has some diamond plating around the top of the bed only going down about an inch or two.I don't know if he is trying to cover something up. I can barely get text on here it is so slow.

That is weird that it is running so slow for you.
On the topic of the diamond plate, they could just be for look on the top of the bed. My 98 cummins work truck has that.

If it seems too good to be true, it is.

Not always the case, there are good deals to be had. If you aren't mechanically inclined take up his offer of letting you have a mechanic look at it. Could be the best 100$ you'll ever spend.

Make sure it has a clean title and title is in your hand. Friend of mine just got scammed on Craigs list for a 2006 Ram for $8,500. I told him, too good to be true. It was, he now has a truck with no title that he can't register.

That LOOKS to be a good deal, I'd drive over and look, test drive it. Take it to the dodge dealer in that area and have it evaluated. It will take 1hr and you'll pay under $100 but its peace of mind for you at least.

wouldn't have thought to go to a dealer, sounds like a good idea.

IMO, that is low. I would not sell my 2004 1500 quad cab slt 4x4 with 100k miles on it for less than $11k.
