Default wheel spacers?

Well I finally ordered my SRT wheels today. Wondering if 1.5" wheel spacers are a good idea or not. Kinda concerned about how safe they are. I wanted the offset to be a little different instead of being sucked into the fenders like OEM style. Any opinions or pics? Thanks guys!

I think you'll get mixed views on spacers. I personally have run them a few times in high performance street cars without incident. As long as they are hubcentric, and you check the bolts for the correct tightness regularly you should be fine. As for added stress at the hub, they won't be any worse than a wheel with the same combined offset as the SRT wheel and spacer.
Also, check your state's laws on the subject of spacers. Some states like Utah and Massachusetts deem spacers illegal..

Here is a highly recommended brand..

I ran 2 1/2" hubcentric spacers from the link mentioned above with my stock rims and winter tires all winter and didn't have any issues at all! I put a little bit of blue Loctite on the studs when I installed the spacers just to make sure that they didn't come loose... In order to check the torque on them you would have to remove the wheel. When I removed them to install my summer tires again, I checked the torque on them just for fun and they were still at 130 ft.lbs.
