Wow. Sorry to hear that your having all these issues. Back to the dealer. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

Good luck and please let us know how it goes.

spent 5 hours at the dealership today, they could not fix the problem. They can see with the computer that the shift buttons have been un-learned and have tried countless times to reprogram them, failed every time. The tech ordered some part today that will be here next week ( he said still not sure that what he ordered will fix it---WTF this is supposed to be a five star dealership) sure wishing canada had lemon laws

Vehicles have become over-complex and most technicians haven't a clue on how to diagnose the problem. There are a lot of good technicians out there but they lack the documentation to diagnose and are only as good as the training they recieve. The Chrysler help lines (STAR) are manned by people that can look-up, just like the technician can, big whoop.

To illustrate how stupid it gets, I have an issue with my heated seats not warming. Been in three times, each time I go in for service, the technician does the same thing, they connect their Wi-Tech diagnostic tool to my truck, command on the heater pads and report nothing wrong. Not once time have they check functionality of the heated seats using the dash controls regardless of how I document the issue.

I wish you luck, I know how frustrating it can be. May be you need to be the poster child to start a movement in Canada to get lemon laws.

In Alberta we have AMVIC to handle situations like this, BC must have a similar group

part came in and they changed it out today ( new steering wheel buttons ) did not fix anything. Tomorrow they are going to change the transmission valve body again with another new one and then see if they can reprogram everything.

Sounds like they are throwing new parts at it, rather than trying to figure out where the problem actually is.

that was my thought also, they said they have to follow chryslers diagnostic flow chart for the symptoms or they wont get paid for warranty. It is supposed to be fixed now so off I go again for the 1 hour drive to the dealership to see.

got home, everything seems to be ok now the next couple days will tell for sure I guess. 3 valve bodies on my transmission in 5 weeks.

Oh, how I WISH that dealers had to follow the published diagnostic procedures in order to get paid for warranty work!

When we get a complete transmission back (that dealer replaced under warranty, and Chrysler paid for) and find one bad part (that costs between $1 - $20, while the rest of the trans is OK), where the dealer WOULD HAVE FOUND that bad part (IF they had followed the published diagnostics!), and we try to charge them back for the repair, we get told that "dealers are independent businesses and we can't force them to follow the published diagnostics."
