Default The notorious engine tick!

Ok so some people have said lash adjusters then another says chain guides and tentioners or a spun main bearing. Which is it lol? My 06 ram 4.7 has the tick and it's on start up, but then goes away after warms up or has been drove around the block then is quiet as a mouse. To me the noise is more Hurd from under the truck like its a main bearing. I've never Hurd of a main bearing that stop ticking or rattling after warm up ect, they've always stayed rattling and has loss of power. The truck runs like new no loss of power ect, so I'm leaning toward the lash adjusters or chains! I just need some good sound proof or help here lol I'd hate to change adjusters and that not be it. The truck has 103k ive only putt on 6k though I'm the second owner so idk how the other person did maintance but I change it every 3k or sooner. Thanks for any opinions in advance!

Possible Exhaust manifold leak, broken stud. Been there, done that.

All the bolts are still intact and tight I haven't tried to feel for leaks though. I just figured the lash adjusters finally pump up once it warms a little maybe there's some sticky ones.

My 08 with 50k has a click/tap noise at idle, valve lash top end, needs more oil pressure at idle to fill the hollow cams and other lube points, sound goes away once the engine is reved. I know you said it sounds like it could be coming from bottom end, well lets hope not (piston wrist pin)

I have an 06 that does the same thing. The ticking is very low and you have to listen for it. After running for about a minute it goes away. I have only had it for one oil change (and changed it 1000 early). Going to try M1 next and see if that does anything. mine has 63000 + on it.

I'm 100% certain it's the lash adjusters that are sticking till it pumps up a little just to lazy at the moment to do it lol plus it's my every day driver so I can't have it down!
