I slowed and moved left, but it's funny because in my mind I asked what was more reckless before passing; almost unconsciously - straddling the centreline and giving him half a lane buffer? Or moving entirely into the oncoming lane of traffic, though the way (as far as I could see it) was clear?
I chose to straddle the lane.
It's a rural hwy, and you can't always be sure someone is going to pull out from a drive or lane, their view obscured by hedges etc.
Call it conservative, but I can't be audacious all the time
