It does have power loss but everything else is working good. Good oil pressure and water temp is good not overheating or anything. I was wondering how easy it was to replace the egr valve on it. I understand that the upper part of the engine needs taken off. I am pretty good at doing things myself but didn't want to get into things to deep. An EGR valve that is working would actually prevent any pinging sounds as it inhibits combustion. Did you test the EGR valve from solenoid operation to valve diaphragm operation?
