Default Fiat Buys Rest of Chrysler. What next?

Just read that fiat bought out the remaining ownership of Chrysler. What does this mean for the future of the company? Discuss.

Here's another good discussion not too long ago along the same lines.

What's next?
They'll have the privilege of continuing to exist
Probably will be looking to get rid of the union

Just my guess

Well, Fiat is being bled dry by their 32000 union member workforce in Italy. So who knows....

Unions have to understand that the demands have to be sustainable, otherwise sooner or later it will all end.

Personal opinion (as always):

UAW is acutely aware of that after the bankruptcy. As for the merger, it's been all the same company with a bit of paperwork when it's cross "house". Hopefully that gets minimized as time goes on. Otherwise, it's business as usual. We do stuff, they do stuff, sometimes we do stuff together when it makes sense. The aura and attitude around is is light years different from the previous "merger" from what I have been told.
