Mine had a tail light recall so I combined them. I would have waited if that was the only issue because my dealership likes to keep a vehicle the entire day no matter what the issue. I swear… I could make an appt. 2 weeks in advance and ask them to inflate my tires and they would be all…. Um … yer gonna need to leave it with us …. We'll try to get it done by the end of day but no promises.
Hate that service manager sometimes.
Wow- unexpected vent…. feel better now.

Your vehicle's outside temperature gauge may be the most accurate reading of the ones you are comparing it to, for your location.

The temperature you hear on the radio could have been taken from a location several blocks or miles from your location. The bank temperatures are normally in town, picking up heat from surrounding buildings, and probably 40' higher then the sensor on your vehicle. Put two identical thermometers on opposite sides of your house and you'll no doubt get two different readings.

If you have ever ridden in a vehicle with the windows down, especially in the evening, you should have noticed a dramatic change in temperature within a short distance as you went up and down hill. But because the vehicle's temperature gauge takes awhile (maybe 30 seconds) to reflect those changes, it won't show the changes that you are feeling.

There are so many variables that effect temperature readings, even within a couple of feet, that i"d be very surprised if all the readings you mentioned read the same. Enjoy your ride and don't let yourself get too worked up over a few degrees difference in the temperature.

Mine is also off... I base it off of the weather network.

I believe there is an issue with the sensor. It's holding my truck up at the plant.

I will have mine looked at this spring. I will wait till then as I have the same issue with having to leave it the whole day no matter what it is.

Default Ambient temperature sensor

Located in the Driver side mirror on my 2014 Laramie. Mine is off by 3 to 5 degrees as compared to GMC Terrain, and, an outside temperature sensor. My last 2005 Laramie was right on - all three registered the same.

If there is a TSB on this - please post it for everyone. Many times the Dealership neglects to look them up... Or, at least post what they did to fix it.
