Default 05 Silverado 1500 vs 2011 Ram 1500 4x4

So my buddy likes to talk that crap. He has a 2005 Silverado 1500 that apparently has the 6.0L (about 100k miles). Only things he has done to it is a tuner with the tunes that came with it, exhaust and headers. His is a 4x4 extended cab and I don't know the rear. He says he will put $500 down and race me in a quarter mile vs my 2011 ram 1500 Hemi. All I got done is a k&n intake. Also, it's a quad cab with 3.55 rears. Should I go take his money???

If his is a tuned 6.0L and all you got done is a kk&n. He has the advantage.. Fast engine but terrible fuel milage.

I think still with his exhaust and headers with the 6.0 will win.
The 5.7 is more matched for the 5.3 chev engine.

I'd take $500 and do a stealthy nitrous install. The bottle fits discretely under rear seat, you can hide the solenoids and put the injector in the underside of the K&N tube. Put 1 range colder spark plug and gap to .35. You can run 93 octane and spray a 100 shot safely, especially if you run a canned tune for 87 octane or 89 octane from Diablo tuner. What's hurting you is your gears if you had 4:10 or even 3:92's. When you spray, only hit the button above 2800 rpms and WOT, release the nitrous before you let up on the gas. Spray until you really prove your point. I've been thru tech inspection at Etown, NJ, NEDW, and Winterport Dragway in Maine, never did the techs find my nitrous. My Ram is an 05 and only has 345 hp, but with a 100 shot, I surprised a lot of trucks, including diesels. You might want to get the Sonnax line pressure booster. My dyno tuner here in Maine can raise my shift points and rev limit to 7,000 rpm on the Ram transmissions with the Diablo tuning. Obviously, I don't want you to just beat the Chevy, I want you to shame him. When Chevy or Ford guys ask what my truck has to make it so fast= answer: Hemi.

he has aftermarket "MONSTER" 20 inch wheels with street tires. I like the idea of the 100 shot lol that'd be badass!
