Default Offset... +18 vs +25.4

OK, I finally found and ordered a set of SRT10 20x9 gloss black repro wheels....the only thing I'm not sure of is the offset...I know stock is +18, but these are +25.4....the rep told me these will be fine on my 2013 Sport. I know its only ~ 1/4"....but....

Is he right or did I just screw the pooch

Does anyone have the +25.4 offset on theirs ?

Thanks y'all !!!

Just going to swap the tires (black wall out).....gonna try and get as many miles out of them as I can....then swap out to some Cooper Discoverer HT Plus's...had a set on my 10 Ram CC. Only had them for about 10-12K miles, but seemed like a pretty good tire---WAAAAY better than the stock POS Goodyear's

Thanks for the reply

The 25.4mm (1.0") offset would put a set of 10" wheels exactly where the stock 9" wheels originally were in terms of the outside wheel lip/edge. On a 9" wide rim the outer and inner lip will sit 1/4" inwards, so yur wheel and tire will be closer to the suspension and your rim lip will sit slightly inside the fender edge. It will not look bad unless your super picky and dont like the wheels slightly sucked in. A rule of thumb for aftermarket wheels are stay with the same offset if going with the same width wheel. Go 6mm more (+) for every 1.0" wider wheel width. Unless of course your trying to go for a more or less aggressive look.....

Do you think this will cause any rubbing issues on the rim or tire?

I guess I could just add a 1/4" spacer and that would bring it back to the "stock offset"...

Thanks for all the replies folks !!!

No, no problem with fitment at all, you wont need spacers. I was only trying to be as descriptive as possible to help explain the offset. Get those babies and post up a pic when you get them installed!

Heheh, I feel like I scared ya when I was explaining the offsets and told you how the wheel and tire would be closer to the suspension. I only wanted to explain your situation. Guys run the 10" wide wheels at your same offset, that puts them another 1/4" even futher inward and they have no problems....cant wait to see them, love those wheels!
